(KBIT) Killed Before Its Time / Nike

February 21st, 2010 tim

Welcome to the first installment of, KBIT, Killed Before Its Time. If you have spent any time in the creative world, you know ideas are media and ideas are currency. But as strong as design ideas can be, they often meet an untimely death. Like the dull thud of taxi hitting bike messenger, the idea you’ve been building can suddenly die – whether by the client’s axe or some unseen force in the wacky world of advertising.

So without further adieu, we present to you our first installment of KBIT. Why? To prove that there’s life after death, to give things that should have succeeded another chance. Or, just to show the world all the goodies quietly sitting on our servers.

We begin with a resurrected pair of style frames for Nike. They were to become a piece in motion demonstrating the cross-training capabilities of these kicks. Designer: Graham Hill.

Frame One was brutally murdered, during a divine act of selflessness by stepping in front of his friend Frame Two, pictured below.

Note: The (.jpg) file names have been changed at the family’s request.
