Create an inspiring new puzzle that leverages the intersection of data, modern fabrication techniques and the customization potential of digital platforms. Integrate geographic, open source data from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission so users can find, customize and 3D print virtually any location on Earth as a unique puzzle.

Opportunity

TopoTopo™ allows users to create a topography-based puzzle from open source data. The complexity of the terrain creates layers of difficulty to challenge the mind in a three- dimensional way. Users can create a puzzle that’s unique to them, variable in complexity, and rapidly produced as a real (physical) object with the latest production technologies. Using TopoTopo™ is as simple as a Google search allowing you to create something you can hold in your hand, play with friends, and acts as a memento of an experience in a far away place.

Generating a Wish with VOLO

Challenge

Encourage people to set their intentions for the year ahead by creating an experience built on meditation and contemplation and the metaphor of a wishing well. Combine the physical and digital worlds by mixing the sculptural form and high-concept creative technologies.

Opportunity

VOLO is an artwork defined by a physical, multi-aggregate wishing well that is brought to life by augmented reality. The well contains an infinite stream of digital wishes from around the world whose shape, movement and story is unique to each participant.
